Wiki 5 - Week 5 Pīpiri - June

Tuesday 3rd June - Friday 6th June

Kia ora tātou.
He wai, he oranga!
We are well into the term now and the tamariki have been learning lots about water - He wai, he oranga! Ask them about what they know.
Haerenga ki Rāpaki
Te Tikanga Rua Reo has been organising their haerenga to Rāpaki. Please make sure your tamaiti/tamariki has returned their form to their kaiako. We will be sending more information home this week. It is important that it is read and returned to school. A big mihi to those matua who have indicated that they are available to transport tamariki to Rāpaki Marae and are also able to sleep over the night. Wananei koutou! We will be having a hui about parent responsibility very soon.
Christchurch Performing Arts Festival
Te Mahuri kapa haka group has undergone some changes this year, the first major change being the maximum number being 70. The second change is that we have only included Year 5 and 6 from the mainstream. At present their are 80 students in Te Mahuri and we are only able to cater for 70. Te Tikanga Rua Reo's place in Te Mahuri are safe.
He pīnono te mahi
Are any parents able to spare some time during the day to read with our students. This time would be from 11.15a.m. every day. We know that having someone to read to each day increases your tamariki's knowledge of reading.
Does anyone have any contacts for sheets of plexiglass? If you could come and talk to the kaiako in TTRR, we will let you know what it is going to be used for.

Keep well, warm and safe and see you all soon.
Hei kona mo tenei wa.
