Three weeks out.

Tena ano tatou katoa i tenei wa o te tau.
Kei te here heke nga ra, heoi ano he nui tonu nga mahi kei mua i te aroaro.

We have three weeks left of school, before the holidays and there seems to be so much left to do.

This week: 2 Dec-6th Dec Hakihea
Tuahine Hireke is in Akomanga 2 on Monday and Tuesday. Matua Thomas is checking reports. Call in and say Kia ora if you havent met Tuahine Hireke yet.

Wednesday - Friday
The Year 5/6 are on camp at Wainui.

From Monday the School Pool will be open for classes to have swimming lessons. Please make sure your child/ren have a plastic bag of names gear ready to swim. This includes: towel, togs, goggles (if needed). Classes will be paired and have a half an hour session. Classes will be rotated through the day and week to ensure that the same class isn't swimming at the same time. Some classes will not be swimming on some days because of the sheer numbers of classes.

Hoki rawa mai ki nga kaupapa o Te Tikanga Rua Reo:

Hei te 12 o Hakihea, tu ai Te Pauwaitanga 2013. Ka timata hei te 5 karaka i te ahiahi, ka mutu a te 7 karaka. (taua takiwa).
On Thursday the 12th December, T.T.R.R will be hosting the annual Te Puawiatanga celebrations. We will start at 5pm and conclude around 7pm.
This prize-giving ceremony is an annual event in the T.T.R.R calendar and is a well attended event. I will keep you posted with details.

This week Mrs. Warren spoke to the majority of the school about these topics below:
1. Not wearing hat during outside.
2. The importance of our school values and their place in and outside of the classroom.
3. Being on time and ready to work.
4. How the students respond to requests from teachers and staff.

Please have a chat to your tamariki about how important it is to 'hold on tight' until the end of the year. Teachers have supported Mrs. Warren and we will make sure that we work together.

The hui held in Te Tikanga Rua Reo on Wednesday night was well supported. Thank you to all those parents who attended the meeting.

Ngā mihi

Thomas
